A new nest !

We have found us a new nest.

The North Coast Parrot Head Club has been active in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area since the year 2000. We are a not for profit organization doing charity work in, and around Cleveland, while enjoying the island life style (as best we can in Ohio)

After searching for a couple months for a *new* location for our monthly meeting, where else would anyone want to be but, Wexlers Tavern and Eatery, located in the Old Brooklyn area of Cleveland. Home of the Frosty mug.

So you ask, what is Wexlers? It is explained this way:

A  great bar you can hang with your friends at or come in on your own. There’s always someone to talk to. Hungry? Yeah, we’ve got that covered with the best burgers, wings, sandwiches and daily specials you’ll ever have. Our staff and customers are as diverse as our menu (escargot to PB&J). No fuss. Nothing fancy. Just a good bar with excellent food and great beers to choose from. What else could you want? Namesake of legendary Cleveland tough guy Morris (mushy) Wexler

Don’t forget to try a local delicacy, like the cheddar cheese and potato-stuffed pierogies– they’re ravioli with a union card.”

And of course we can not forget their FAMOUS  menu

So, now you are asking, “Where are they located?”  They are conveniently located off of Interstate 480. Just head north, and they are located about half a mile off 480. (Right near Biddulph Ave.) Extra parking directly across the street.

Let’s take a moment and talk about the menu. Patty melt- hands down, the best you will find in the Cleveland area. They have several flavors of chicken wings, and they are NOT frozen. Just FRESH ! BOGO burgers on Monday. You can not go to Wexlers without trying some ribs. Fresh, fall off the bone meat, just how it should be. You have fish fry Friday. The biggest, freshest piece of fish I have ever seen in a local restaurant. We can’t forget Steak day on Wednesday. A fresh, tasty 10 oz. steak on a Wednesday w/ baked potato, and corn on the cob for only $8.95

Happy Hour 11 am – 7 pm every day. $2 well drinks. $2 domestic bottles. $1.50 domestic drafts. And they have Yuengling  on tap.

Just take a look at the menu and check out all the great items to nosh on.

* Take a look at their specials on their face book page  Face Book

* And while you are at it, they have a twittter account too Twitter

To top  it all off, there is a cozy fire-place to keep you warm on those cold Tropical Cleveland nights.
